Portrait Workshop
Winter Course: 14th to 15th November 2020
We did a two days workshop. In the morning we dedicated us to anatomy and morphology of the head and in the afternoon we did draw from life model in life size.
Mir hat der Kurs sehr gefallen und ich habe vieles gelernt. Du hast sehr gute Kenntnisse zu Anatomie und Technik, das merkt man. Es war gut, dass Du gewisse Sachen runtergebrochen hast, wie zB die Vereinfachung des Schädels. Sonst wäre es wohl zu kompliziert. Vor allem für Neulinge. Am Meisten hat mir wohl das individuelle Feedback während dem Zeichnen geholfen. Es ist super, wie du auf jeden einzelnen eingehst. Ausserdem kannst du sehr gut konstruktive Kritik ausüben, individuelle Tipps und Tricks geben. Ich war wirklich erstaunt, wie stark meine Fortschritte von Tag 1 zu Tag 2 waren. Ich glaube, dies konnte ich auch bei den anderen Teilnehmern beobachten. (Joëlle, Zürich)
What I liked more about your course is that it combined both the theoretical and practical aspect; it gave more of a chance to apply the things we learned in the morning … I do appreciate that the format was not of an assessed course - I think you mentioned this: you said specifically that you wanted to create a 'portraiture club' (not 'portraiture course'), so I understand if you wanted to give freedom in the afternoon for everyone to do their own thing … I'm very grateful that you took the time to translate everything into English. Summer Cours : 7th to 10th August 2019
Summer Cours: 11th to 14th September 2019
We had a intensive workshop over three days in Pizol in the Swiss Alps also known as Heidiland. In the morning we did landscape oil painting in the mountains and in the afternoon a live model was posing for drawing. The workshop was equally awarding for beginners and advanced artists. It is a great opportunity to learn and to train observation skills and enjoy nature in the stunning beauty of the Alps. And in the evening there was always a delicious dinner waiting for us.
Initiation de trois jours indispensables pour aborder les bases de la peinture à l'huile avec de nombreux sujets intérieurs et extérieurs (modèle vivant, paysage, architecture). Les exercices proposés par Cornelia permettent de comprendre le processus "alla Prima" et donnent l'autonomie et le coup de pouce nécessaire pour poursuivre une démarche chez soi par la suite. Summer Course: 5th to 11th August 2018
Das Malen in den Bergen mit Cornelia kann ich nur empfehlen. Ich war im Sommer 2018 dort und habe diesen Kurs in bester Erinnerung. Die Berggegend mit den blühenden Sommerwiesen und umliegenden Gipfeln bietet ausgezeichnete Motive fürs Malen. Cornelia und Agustin haben mich gelehrt, wie man sich organisiert, wenn man im Freien mit Staffelei und Oel malt. Ausserdem haben sie mir gezeigt, wie man sich auf eine reduzierte Farbpalette konzentrieren soll, um sich nicht zu verlieren. Die zwischengeschobenen Aktzeichnungsrunden boten einen guten Gegenpol zum Malen im Freien. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist auch, dass wir ausgezeichnet gegessen haben. Die Küche im Hotel Furt ist sensationell. Ich werde dieses Jahr wieder dabei sein. (Alvaro, Zurich)
Life Drawing Classes with Model in Zurich
Autumn Course: 17th to 19th November 2017
We had a workshop introducing the sight-size method and the principal concepts for Academic Drawing. There were three full sessions with theory and live models at GZ Wipkingen, in Zurich, by the peaceful Limmat river. The analytical approach gave participants the opportunity to understand the general structure of the body, the individual proportions, the gesture of the pose and the model's body type. The results for both beginners and experienced artists where highly convincing.
„Der Sight-Size Workshop hat mich entscheidend weiter gebracht. Statt wie gewohnt drauflos zu zeichnen und am Schluss Fehler feststellen zu müssen ohne genau nachvollziehen zu können, was und warum gewisse Stellen falsch liefen, lernte ich analytisch vorzugehen, genau hinzuschauen und zu messen. Ich bedanke mich nochmals für den informativen Akt-Malkurs mit den wertvollen Impulsen, wie man mit einfachen Mitteln eine realistische Abbildung eines Körpers auf's Papier bringen kann. Das diskrete persönliche Coaching war sehr hilfreich. Überzeugend war, innerhalb weniger Stunden echte Fortschritte zu sehen. Das Auge wurde geschult im Erfassen von Formen und Linien. Life Drawing in Gibraltar
Summer Course: 28th to 30th June 2016
In 2016, Agustín was invited to exhibit his academic art works in Gibraltar. Together with the exhibition came the idea to offer a workshop to introduce the academic methodology : the "Sight Size" procedures and the subjects of simplification, tonality, light and shadow. The workshop was fully booked and the results were excellent.

We offered three days of artistic education and cultural experience in the most beautiful city on the Mediterranean. Under professional guidance participants refined their artistic skills in workshops with nude models. They got to know in person local artists of figurative painting and dove into the cultural diversity of Barcelona
Üben, üben, üben.....anlässlich des Workshops in Barcelona hatte man viele Möglichkeiten und für einen Beginner wie mich war es toll zu sehen, wie grossen Fortschritt ich innerhalb so kurzer Zeit machte. Die lange Pose am Schluss war definitiv die Krönung! Es war super! (Cornelia, Küsnacht ZH)
